Overview

Combat-proven SOCOM-X headsets provide 3-radio push-to-talk control capability. The operator has a  choice of standard triple flange ear pieces or custom molded ear pieces., The SOCOM-X  can be configured to accommodate a multitude of hand held radios including the MBITR, PRC-152 series, XTS-5000, XTS-3000, as well as most manpack radios. The standard kit comes with a 4-foot, 6-pin audio cable and 12 inch, 6-pin audio cable.  Maritime kits are also available that accommodate the 10-pin Impulse connector.

The headset provides superior noise reduction rating and long battery life (200 hours minimum) in normal operating conditions with an 8:1:1 duty cycle. Amplification is up to 15dB beyond ambient.  Unlike standard In-Ear headsets, the SOCOM-X operates flawlessly in high wind and noisy environments. The electret boom microphone provides crystal clear audio regardless of high ambient noise and allows the user to whisper as required with no adjustment to radio or headset settings.
