Soft Packs (Li-ion)

Battery packs with a range of connectors for a variety of requirements

  • Mostly housed in plastic wrapping, ULTRALIFE's rechargeable Lithium-ion (Li-ion) soft packs can be quickly integrated into a device, using flying leads, a range of either Molex or JST connectors or an NTC thermistor for temperature sensing (select models).
  • Battery voltages range from 3.6 to 14.8V and capacities range from 0.9 to 6.1Ah.
  • All soft packs meet the requirements of UN 38.3 transportation tests.

  • ULTRALIFE's rechargeable UBI-2590 Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries often power military communications equipment but can also serve many industrial applications (thanks to commercial labelled versions).
  • Smart and non-smart options are available to suit many budgets and needs.
  • Packs can be used in 'series' (higher voltage) or 'parallel' (higher capacity) mode.
  • Nominal energy ranges from 250 to 288Wh (battery and discharge rate dependent).
  • Using SMART CIRCUIT™ technology, UBI-2590 batteries can accurately measure and display variables such as the state-of-charge, state-of-health, time-to-empty, voltage, current and temperature.

Land Warrior (Li-ion)

Part of the US Army program to modernize military power and reduce battery weight

  • This range of rechargeable Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries has voltages from 14.4 to 16.8V and energy ratings between 83 and 200Wh.
  • Using a power distribution manager, one or two Land Warrior batteries can power many devices, such as flashlights, radios or GPS computers. This means that a soldier is carrying up to four times fewer batteries (reducing the weight from 10Kg to 2Kg).

Lead Acid Alt (LiFePO4/LiPO)

Lightweight, cost and space efficient batteries

  • ULTRALIFE's rechargeable Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries are available in voltages ranging from 6.4 to 25.6V. They can be connected in series or parallel to customize voltage or capacity.
  • Three times lighter than Sealed Lead Acid; batteries of the same capacity weigh 33lbs (15kg) compared to 100lbs (45kg).
  • Offering a long service life, LiFePO4 batteries last for up to 2,000 cycles compared to 300 to 500 for Sealed Lead Acid.
  • For underwater applications (like AUVs, ROVs or oil and gas), ULTRALIFE offer smart subsea Lithium-ion Polymer battery modules (24V, 30V and 37V versions).
  • Available as direct-in-water or pressure balanced oil-filled versions, they offer 4X longer run-time endurance compared to Sealed Lead Acid.
